Dreams do come true, and so the most inspiring byline of PWC Fine Arts and Design Program Dean Brenda Barba goes. For this year’s Batch 2016 Fashion Design students, dreams are really coming true. Like the stars, they will start charting their places in the constellation of fashion’s universe on March 19 before a panel of stellar judges from the creative industry. Stars and star makers themselves come together to Davao to welcome the newest coup of young and emerging fashion designers. This year’s panel will be composed by: MEGA Magazine’s Suki Salvador, Preview Magazine’s Loris Pena, StyleBible’s Zoe Laurente, Asia’s Most Connected Fashion Designer Albert Andrada, DFDC President Aztec Barba, Style and Design Academy’s Cathy Binag, Pilipinas Men’s Fashion Week’s Nico Agustin. The panel will select this year’s Triple K Best Designer, Best in Garment Construction and Best in Technique. Featured awards will also be presented including Best in Look Book and Editorial Shoot, Best Portfolio Presentation, Best in Motion Editorial and Best in Illustration. This year’s grand winner will receive a brand new high-speed sewing machine from Triple K industrial Sewing Machines, an L220 printer from Epson, a round trip ticket to either Hong Kong or Bangkok fashion events and a portfolio by Dexterity Studios. Best in Garment Construction will also receive P 10,000.00 worth of sewing materials and supplies from Manila Fashion Supplies. Join us on March 19, 3pm, Activity Center, Abreeza Ayala Mall.
